Additional Information

Scheduling

You may send your flute at any time, but in order to minimize down time it is best to schedule an appointment in advance. I try very hard to accommodate my clients' needs. Be sure to specify your preferred drop off / shipping date in your form or email.
Drop off is by appointment only and is requested during weekdays only. Time of day is very flexible. If all you need is a little adjustment, I will try to do it while you wait but this is not guaranteed. All warranty work is performed while you wait, if possible.

Turnaround

I work on one instrument at a time to the point where the flute is ready for first testing. This allows me for a fast turnaround time. My goal is to have the flute with me for the least amount of time as I realize that most of my clients use it for work.
Normally I would need the flute for no more than a week, with some exceptions such as holidays, vacation etc.
Student flute overhauls are usually completed within 3-5 days if scheduled in advance.

Shipping

You may ship the flute to me using any method you like. The flute will be shipped back to you by USPS Priority mail (2-3 days) or FedEx 2 day express, unless you specify otherwise. Professional flute overhaul rates include FedEx 2 day shipping within the lower 48 states. Shipping upgrade is available.
Please ship the flute in its case, without the case cover and without any other accassories such as cleaning cloth. If the cleaning rod is kept in the case you may leave it there.

Warranty

All work is warranted for one year. The warranty applies to the work that was done and does not cover normal wear and tear or adjustments that may be needed due to normal use. The warranty does not cover the following:
  • Misuse
  • Dents, scratches or any damage caused by contact with a hard object.
  • Any damage caused by exposure to excessive heat, including leaving the flute in the trunk of a car.
  • Damage from liquid spilled on the flute.
  • Damage caused by dropping the flute or sitting on it.
  • Use not according to the instructions given with the repaired instrument.
  • Any indirect damages such as loss of income.

Paymemt

I accept Visa, Mastercard, personal checks, cash, money orders and PayPal. For remote payments (the unfortunate event in which we never get to meet in person), I prefer PayPal where you may also use credit cards. PayPal membership is not necessary. Credit card payment can be made only in person or by phone (and by PayPal of course).
