Tabak has been for years the most reliable flute
repairman we had in Israel, both professionally and
personally. There was hardly ever a reason to bring
an instrument back to him after a repair, due to his
perfectionism and his friendliness and openness to
everybody.

As a flutist, I was always happy to have a problem in my flute, which gave me a reason to pay Eli a visit in his workshop, not only because of his willingness to help immediately and his quick professional abilities, but also due to his warm personality and friendly attitude.
In my opinion, what makes Eli one of his kinds is not only his extraordinary gifted hands, his wide knowledge of flute and many years of experience, but also the unique person he is. Eli's generosity, perfectionism and honesty, makes him the guy you would hand him your flute with "closed eyes" and a quite conscious; not to mention his great, special sense of humor that turns every repair he makes from a simple, small cork adjustment till a complete overhaul, into a sweet, fun adventure.
